Annual International MIT LINC Symposium was held
on the MIT campus, October 27 and 28, 2005. The event's
theme was "Impacting Social and Economic Development
Through E-Learning". Over 80 participants from
over 20 countries gathered to share best practices,
case studies and models of e-learning.

117 participants
spent their first few days of spring attending LINC
symposium lectures at the Hotel@MIT. Later in the week
they attended interactive hands-on workshops on the
MIT campus.
Participants
from academia, government, industry, and philanthropy
listened to over 35 speakers who discussed pedagogical,
research, funding initiatives, and e-learning, activities
within their organizations. Countries represented were
Algeria, China, France, Gaza, Israel, Jordan, Kenya,
Lesotho, Malaysia, Mexico, Pakistan, Switzerland, Syria
and the United States.

The
first LINC Workshop was held at the Hotel@MIT. More
than 80 participants from 15 countries were engaged
by over 30 presentations in just 2 days. Scholars, researchers,
practicioners, funders, and advocates of technology-enabled
education gathered to meet and to share resources. Algeria,
Armenia, China, France, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Japan,
Kenya, Mexico, Pakistan, Russia, Syria were among the
countries represented at the LINC Workshop.
