Policies
and Programs that Support the Implementation of ICT, Education
Reform, and Economic Development: a Half-Day Hands-On Workshop
Offered by Dr. Robert Kozma and the Intel World Ahead Program

This
free workshop is designed for education policymakers and thought
leaders, to assist them in thinking through the role of ICT
in education reform. The workshop will present a framework
for analyzing coordinated policies in ICT, pedagogy, curriculum,
assessment, teacher training, and school organization. During
the first part of the workshop, Dr. Kozma will assist participants
in applying the framework to their current policy context
and considering coordinated policy changes that might contribute
to economic development. During the second part of the workshop,
Intel staff will review the building blocks of the World Ahead
Program that support 21st century teaching and learning, including
access to affordable technology, broadband connectivity, and
locally relevant content.
